For the record, the car guys usually use the range of 200-300F as safe. If you get north of 325F, it's been said the crankcase can lose its temper. Below 200F and a ringless tapered bore engine isn't getting warm enough to expand the liner. OR set it to peak and back off 400-500rpm (seems crazy, but it's better). Thanks for all the responses.
Apart from the fact that I know there's 15% nitro in the fuel don't know how much oil (aerosave btw) and therefore don't know how much methanol. My 2 stroke engines use the same fuel and the heads and muffler stay almost cool enough to hold (os 91 fx and 61 fx btw also an SC 61).
All my 4 strokes, a mix of OS from 26 to 120, saito 62 and 82 and laser 70 and 80 use the same fuel without any problems but of course the exhausts are much hotter. The two engines in question are showing around 250 F. I'm starting to think it may be down to the mini pipes but who can tell.

Read point 4 on page 3. Magnums are distributed in the UK by Weston UK, the owner also mixes the fuel Liquid Gold I mentioned. Point 4 has been my mantra since I had a conversation with him back in the last century and it's never let me down.
Of the two engines mentioned in the OP, the ys has over 200 hours use in my possession and I bought it in 2003 when it was very second hand. It is virtually impossible to rotate the engine by hand due to the compression. The Irvine 39 has had 71 hours since I bought it second hand and the compression is as good today as the day I bought it. Both have run on liquid gold since I owned them. Neither of them has had a bearing changed since I bought them.
